Minor Hotels announced on May 14, 2026, that Anantara Vacation Club will be renamed Minor Vacation Club. The rebrand aligns the company’s vacation ownership business with the full scope of its expanding hospitality portfolio. Minor Vacation Club will operate under the broader Minor Vacations umbrella as the group’s primary timeshare product.
Why the Name Change
Anantara Vacation Club operated for over 15 years as part of Minor Hotels. The program originally had close ties to the Anantara brand, but its scope grew well beyond a single hotel brand over time. Points Owners today access properties across Anantara, Elewana, Avani, and Oaks, along with dining, leisure, and lifestyle experiences. The old name no longer reflected the full range of what the club offers.
“Minor Vacation Club reflects how our timeshare business has evolved alongside Minor Hotels itself,” said Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International. He noted the rebrand creates a stronger platform for curating destinations and experiences across multiple brands.
What Changes for Points Owners
Minor Hotels stated that service standards, support, and access will remain the same throughout the transition. The rebrand will roll out in phases. Any enhancements will be designed to strengthen the club experience, not change it. Points Owners do not need to take any action.
Japan Expansion Confirmed
Alongside the rebrand announcement, Minor Hotels confirmed that Minor Vacation Club will launch two Club Resorts in Japan later in 2026. The company described the Japan launch as part of a strategy focused on carefully selected destinations and distinctive experiences. Specific property details have not been disclosed.
Minor Hotels operates more than 640 hotels, resorts, and branded residences across 59 countries. The vacation ownership division serves as a vehicle for deepening guest loyalty through long-term property access across the Minor Hotels network.
